This is really nice and useful information but i want to share some useful tip...
Every time you enter a new time zone, you should plan on one day to adjust to the difference. One hour causes minimal disruption to your internal time clock. However, crossing six zones will likely require six days of adjustment. Take this into consideration when you travel. Do not plan a hectic day of tours or meetings after a long flight spanning several time zones.

I just got from Kauai. What a magical place. We went on a Capt. Andy's snorkel picnic on one of their sailing catamarans. The Napali coast was amazing. The snorkeling was so much fun! And everything about our boat tour was 1st class.

We were able to get a great vacation home right on Hanalei Bay from this Kauai vacation rental website. Also, the Kauai vacation explorer had useful information on beaches and hikes as well as a great ocean report that we used to pick our snorkeling spots each day we were there.

My family also visited Oahu while on our trip. We got an equally nice Oahu vacation rental from the same company. However, I think I would skip Oahu next time and spend my entire travels on Kauai or possibly check out Maui.
