That is an awesome experience. It is an hour or so ride there, 3 hours in the park and an hour or so back. That gives you enough time to eat and walk around. Of course you can stay over night which is amazing as well. Just make sure to keep an eye on pets and children!!! I recommend taking the Grand Canyon train. That is an awesome experience. I live in Arizona, and have been there a few times. One of the best new features they've added is the skywalk. It's a U shaped structure that hangs over the edge. The best part is that it's made of plexi-glass and is a little freaky to take the first few steps, but well worth it. The bad part is that it's $25! ouch... The Grand Canyon is awesome.
